PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow brake responsiveness to be recovered immediately, even if an opening area of a master port is narrowed by brake pedal operation using extremely loose tread force by a driver and therefore flow ratios are decreased.SOLUTION: Variations of brake fluid which flows through first and second hydraulic circuits 22 and 23 during automatic brake operation are detected (S3); when variations of at least one brake fluid of brake fluid flowing through both hydraulic circuits 22 and 23 are out of a specified value (S4 and S5), decompressing valves 32 and 33 are opened and brake fluid from a hydraulic pump 26 is accumulated in a low-pressure accumulator 24, and thereby intake flow velocity of the brake fluid from a master cylinder 4 is rapidly increased; and master pistons 9a and 9b are moved in a brake operation direction to shut off master ports 5a and 5b. Thereafter, the decompressing valves 32 and 33 are closed and the brake fluid in the master cylinder 4 is supplied to wheel cylinders 13a-13d, so as to allow brake responsiveness to be recovered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】運転者の極緩踏力によるブレーキペダル操作でマスタポートの開口面積が絞られ、流量比が低下した場合であっても、ブレーキ応答性が直ちに回復されるようにする。【解決手段】自動ブレーキ作動時の第1、第2液圧回路22,23を経由するブレーキ液の変化量を検出し(S3)、両液圧回路22,23を経由するブレーキ液の少なくとも一方の変化量が規定値から外れている場合(S4,S5)、減圧バルブ32,33を開弁させて、液圧ポンプ26からのブレーキ液を低圧アキュムレータ24に蓄圧させることで、マスタシリンダ4からのブレーキ液の引込み流速を急増させ、マスタピストン9a,9bをブレーキ作動方向へ移動させてマスタポート5a,5bを遮断させる。その後減圧バルブ32,33を閉弁させ、マスタシリンダ4内のブレーキ液をホイールシリンダ13a〜13dに供給してブレーキ応答性を回復させる。【選択図】図4
