The invention discloses an automatic brake device which is applied to a brake pedal of a vehicle to automatically operate a vehicle brake and comprises a body, a pull rope, a driving assembly and a detector in communication connection with the driving assembly, and one end of the pull rope is fixed to the brake pedal; when the driving assembly works, acting force is applied to the other end of the pull rope to make linear motion in the body so as to control the brake pedal to be treaded down. The detection module is used for detecting whether the environment where the vehicle is located meets a preset braking condition or not; when the brake condition is met, the detector generates a first control signal to control the driving assembly to apply acting force to the other end of the pull rope, so that the pull rope does linear motion in the body to manipulate the brake pedal to step down; and when the brake condition is not met any more, a second control signal is generated to control the driving assembly to release the acting force applied to the pull rope, the brake pedal is lifted, and the whole brake process is achieved.
