PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct acting actuator capable of solving a problem in a layout and suppressing a fade phenomenon when a direct acting actuator is mounted on a vehicle or the like.SOLUTION: Abnormality determination means 108 determines abnormality of each of load detection means Sa, Sb. When the two load detection means Sa, Sb are in a normal state, a normal control part 110 uses a total value of loads detected respectively by the two load detection means Sa, Sb for controlling a motor 30. When it is determined that any one of the load detection means Sa, Sb is in an abnormal state, an abnormal time control part 111 estimates loads which occur respectively on two direct acting mechanisms, based on a load detected by the normal load detection means Sb(Sa), a motor current and a motor rotation angle.     【課題】車両等にこの直動アクチュエータを搭載する場合に、レイアウト上の問題を解消でき、且つ、フェード現象等を抑制することができる直動アクチュエータを提供する。【解決手段】異常判定手段108は各荷重検出手段Sa,Sbの異常を判定する。二つの荷重検出手段Sa,Sbが共に正常なとき、通常制御部110は、二つの荷重検出手段Sa,Sbでそれぞれ検出される荷重の合算値を用いてモータ30を制御する。いずれか一方の荷重検出手段Sa、(Sb)が異常であると判定されたとき、異常時制御部111は、正常な荷重検出手段Sb、(Sa)で検出される荷重、モータ電流、およびモータ回転角から、二つの直動機構でそれぞれ発生している荷重を推定する。異常時制御部111は、この推定値を基にモータ30を制御する。【選択図】図11
