PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an influence of variations of performance characteristics and a loss of brake force due to a failure of an electric circuit of a motor generator unit mounted to a vehicle on behavior of the vehicle while suppressing a cost increase.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle control device comprises: a motor generator unit (2) constituted so as has a motor part (5), an inverter part (3) and motor control part (4); and a vehicle control part (11) distributing target braking torque of a hybrid vehicle calculated in response to brake operation of a driver into braking torque by a friction brake and regenerative braking torque by the motor generator unit, and performing deceleration control of the hybrid vehicle. The motor control part sets a maximum value of the regenerative braking torque capable of being output according to an operation history of the inverter part. The vehicle control part limits the regenerative braking torque allocated to the motor generator unit with the maximum value of the regenerative braking torque as an upper limit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
