PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking assisting system capable of shortening a time required for parking.SOLUTION: A parking assisting system 10 includes a route calculation part 13 which, based on a position to start parking and a target parking position, calculates a unit route which is closest to the target parking position among routes consisting of one time of advancement and one time of retreating, and an actuator control part 14 which performs travel control to move a vehicle based on the unit route. The route calculation part 13 calculates a next unit route in which an arrival position of the unit route is taken as a start position during when the actuator control part 14 performs travel control of the vehicle based on the unit route.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
