PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous flying device, a control method and a program of the autonomous flying device capable of properly preventing generation of blur or frame out of a moving object in pick-up images.SOLUTION: An autonomous flying device 1 flies following a moving object 800 while keeping a predetermined separation distance with respect to the moving object 800. The autonomous flying device 1 includes: an imaging unit 300 that picks up images including the moving object 800; a moving speed acquisition section 630 that acquires a piece of information representing moving speed of the moving object 800; and a separation distance control unit 650 that control the separation distance based on the information acquired by the moving speed acquisition section 630. The separation distance control unit 650 controls to have the larger separation distance for the larger moving speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
