PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate and quantitative assessment of whether or not the wattage required for travel from the starting point until any point of time on the way to the destination is sufficient and whether or not the destination can be reached within the forecast length of time.SOLUTION: By a travel support system for electrically powered cars, regarding each period of time elapsed from the starting point to the destination since the start of travel, a first wattage required for travel from the starting point until each period of time has elapsed is forecast, a second wattage required for travel from the starting point to the actual geographical point at the current point of time is calculated from a forecast result produced by a wattage forecasting unit while being matched with the real elapsed time at the actual geographical point, a third wattage actually consumed by an electric motor from the starting point until the current point of time is calculated, the second wattage and the third wattage at the current point of time are compared to determine whether or not there will be a power shortage for the travel to the destination, and the second wattage and the first wattage at the current point of time are compared to determine whether or not the time to be taken by the travel to the destination is within the forecast length of time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】出発地から目的地までの間のいずれの時点においても目的地までの走行に要する電力量が足りるか否か及び目的地まで予測された時間までに到達できるか否かを正確かつ定量的に判断すること。【解決手段】このシステムは、走行前に出発地から目的地までの間での各経過時間における、出発地から各経過時間までに要する第1の電力量を予測し、そして出発地から現時点での実際の地点までの走行に要する第2の電力量を、実際の地点での本来の経過時間に対応させて前記電力量予測部の予測結果から算定し、出発地から現時点までに前記電気モーターで実際に消費した第3の電力量を算定し、現時点における第2の電力量と第3の電力量とを比較して目的地までの走行に要する電力量が不足するか否かを判断し、現時点における第2の電力量と第1の電力量とを比較し、目的地までの走行に要する時間が予め予測された時間内か否かを判断している。【選択図】図2
