PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a B-pillar which is high in rigidity, and satisfies a demanding collision load instance.SOLUTION: A B-pillar has an inside shell (7) which is formed of a metal thin plate material, and an outer shell (8) which is connected to the inside shell (7), and formed of a plurality of portions. The outside shell (8) has a lower-side forming portion (9) which is formed of the metal thin plate material, and an upper-side forming portion (10) which is formed of fiber-reinforced plastic. Both the forming portions (9, 10) are arranged so as to be overlapped on each other along an overlap region (12), and connected to each other. At this time, the lower-side forming portion (9) straddles the overlap region (12) which is overlapped on the upper-side forming portion (10), and protrudes in a first longitudinal extension direction (Xu) of the B-pillar, and the upper-side forming portion (10) straddles the overlap region (12) which is overlapped on the lower-side forming portion (9), and protrudes in a second longitudinal extension direction (Xo) of the B-pillar.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
