PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking lock mechanism and a parking lock mechanism method that are capable of securely engaging an engagement member with a gear.SOLUTION: A parking lock mechanism 1 comprises: a lock part 3 having a swing member 10, and an engagement member 12 provided integrally with the swing member and provided so as to engage with a gear 100 by the swing of the swing member 10; a regulating part 5 that regulates swing of the swing member 10 by abutting on the swing member 10 at a position where the engagement member 12 engages with the gear 100; a motor 7 that swings the swing member 10; a control part 9 that controls drive of the motor 7. The control part 9 swings the swing member 10 in one direction by controlling the drive of motor 7 such that the engagement member 12 engages with the gear 100. When the swing member 10 and the regulating part 5 abut on each other, the drive of the motor 7 is stopped and, if it is determined that a predetermined time has elapsed from this stop, the drive of the motor 7 is controlled such that the swing member 10 swings in one direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】ギアに対して係合部材を確実に係合させることができるパーキングロック機構及びパーキングロック方法を提供する。【解決手段】パーキングロック機構1は、揺動部材10と、当該揺動部材と一体に設けられ、揺動部材10の揺動によりギア100に係合可能に設けられた係合部材12と、を有するロック部3と、係合部材12がギア100に係合する位置で揺動部材10に当接して揺動部材10の揺動を規制する規制部5と、揺動部材10を揺動させるモータ7と、モータ7の駆動を制御する制御部9と、を備え、制御部9は、ギア100に係合部材12が係合するようにモータ7の駆動を制御して揺動部材10を一方向に揺動させ、揺動部材10と規制部5とが当接した場合にモータ7の駆動を停止させて、当該停止から所定時間が経過したと判断すると、揺動部材10が一方向に揺動するようにモータ7の駆動を制御する。【選択図】図5
