To achieve a normal rolling operation of a roller in a mechanism that locks a parking gear by rolling of the roller on a rolling surface.SOLUTION: A parking lock mechanism comprises: an engagement member having an engagement part to engage with a parking gear on a free end side; a rod for making a roller provided at one end roll on a rolling surface of the engagement member when parking is selected or release of parking is selected; and a pressing member provided on a side opposite to the rolling surface via the roller, where the engagement part engages with the parking gear when parking is selected. The parking lock mechanism includes oil holding means in which oil accumulates or circulates and which has a discharge port for discharging the oil, and discharge means for discharging oil onto the rolling surface from the discharge port in conjunction with the rod when parking is selected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
