PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst warmup method of a hybrid vehicle which can inexpensively secure a charge capacity at catalyst warmup.SOLUTION: In a catalyst warmup method of a hybrid vehicle, a first clutch CL1 is released on the basis of the establishment of a warmup condition of a catalyst 101 which is arranged at an exhaust system 100 of an engine Eng, driver requirement torque is outputted from a motor generator MG, on the other hand, the catalyst 101 is warmed by driving the engine Eng with a starter motor SSG as a load until a warmup finish condition is established, during the warmup, the generation power of the starter motor SSG is charged to a second low-voltage battery 32, after a finish of the warmup, a first battery block relay switch 51 is blocked, the first low-voltage battery 31 is released from a low-voltage system circuit 21, a step-down voltage of a DC-DC converter 40 is set at a lower voltage which is lower than that of the second low-voltage battery 32, and the second low-voltage battery 32 is discharged by a load of auxiliary machines 20 until a prescribed chargeable capacity is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】触媒暖機時の充電容量の確保を、安価に行うことが可能なハイブリッド車両の触媒暖機方法を提供すること。【解決手段】エンジンEngの排気系100に設けられた触媒101の暖機条件の成立に基づき、第1クラッチCL1を解放してドライバ要求トルクをモータジェネレータMGにより出力する一方、スタータモータSSGを負荷としてエンジンEngを駆動させて暖機終了条件が成立するまで触媒101の暖機を行い、暖機中は、スタータモータSSGの発電電力を第2低電圧バッテリ32に充電し、暖機終了後は、第1バッテリ遮断リレースイッチ51を遮断して第1低電圧バッテリ31を低電圧系回路21から切り離し、DC−DCコンバータ40の降圧電圧を第2低電圧バッテリ32よりも低電圧とし、第2低電圧バッテリ32を、所定の充電可能容量が得られるまで補機類20の負荷により放電することを特徴とするハイブリッド車両の触媒暖機方法とした。【選択図】図1
