To cause a cooling water temperature of an internal combustion engine to rise to a warmup complete water temperature in a shortest warmup time, while preventing the SOC of a battery from exceeding an upper limit SOC, in a hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicular warmup control method includes: calculating a possible generation amount enabling a battery to reach an upper limit SOC at a warmup operation complete temporal point with a warmup operation timed as a parameter, on the basis of a present SOC of the battery and an estimated power balance during a travel; calculating, on the basis of the possible generation amount, a supplied calorie to be given to cooling water by the warmup operation complete, with the warmup operation time as a parameter (S1 through S6); calculating calorie necessary until a warmup complete state is reached on the basis of the present cooling water temperature to determine, as a required warmup operation time, a warmup operation time where the supplied calorie matches the necessary calorie (S7 through S9); determining, as a target load, a load on an internal combustion engine where the battery reaches the upper limit SOC at the warmup operation complete temporal point on the basis of the required warmup operation time (S10); and performing a warmup operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】ハイブリッド車両において、バッテリのSOCが上限SOCを超えないようにしつつ最短の暖機時間で内燃機関の冷却水温を暖機完了水温まで到達させる。【解決手段】現在のバッテリのSOCと想定される走行中の電力収支とに基づき、暖機運転時間をパラメータとして、暖機運転終了時点にバッテリが上限SOCに達することとなる発電可能量を求め、この発電可能量に基づき、暖機運転時間をパラメータとして、暖機運転終了までの間に冷却水に与えられる供給熱量を求める(S1〜S6)。現在の冷却水温に基づき暖機完了状態となるまでに必要な熱量を求め、この必要な熱量に供給熱量が一致することとなる暖機運転時間を要求暖機運転時間として決定する(S7〜S9)。この要求暖機運転時間に基づき、暖機運転終了時点にバッテリが上限SOCに達することとなる内燃機関の負荷を目標負荷として決定し(S10)、暖機運転を行う。【選択図】図2
