PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral environment recognition device capable of reducing an arithmetic processing load and memory consumption on a utilization side of peripheral environment information data.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a peripheral environment recognition device 10 provided with: a travel route information acquisition part which acquires travel route information showing a travel route of a vehicle 2 to be loaded; a peripheral environment element information acquisition part which acquires peripheral environment element information including position relation information on a space showing position relation with the vehicle on the space regarding an environmental element in the circumference of the vehicle; a travel route relationship calculation part which calculates relationship with the travel route in the environmental element on the basis of the travel route information and the position relation information on the space; and a peripheral environment information providing part 106 which provides information regarding the environmental element on the basis of the relationship with the travel route calculated by the travel route relationship calculation part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
