PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid battery management device which can mitigate the stratification of a lead-acid battery without decreasing fuel consumption performance.SOLUTION: The lead-acid battery management device, which manages the state of a lead-acid battery 15 loaded on a vehicle, includes: stimulation means (lead-acid battery stimulation unit 16) for applying a stimulus to the lead-acid battery using power; detection means (current sensor 13) for detecting, during the regeneration charge of the lead-acid battery by an alternator 10, the generation of surplus power, which is not used to charge the lead-acid battery, among power generated by the alternator; and control means (control unit 11) for supplying power to the stimulation means when the generation of the surplus power is detected by the detection means during the regeneration charge, to execute control to apply a stimulus to the lead-acid battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
