PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision avoidance support technology configured to improve convenience of a driver.SOLUTION: A driving support system operates as follows: determining probability of a collision between a vehicle and an object located forward of the vehicle (S110); starting emergency brake control for avoiding a collision to the object, in accordance with a determination result (S140); determining whether a travel environmental condition, which is a condition on at least one of a current vehicle location, a vehicle rear condition, and a vehicle travel state, has been satisfied or not (S120); and releasing brake control (S170) when the travel environmental condition has been satisfied (S160: YES), in the case where the collision probability decreases to a predetermined safety level before the vehicle stops after the start of emergency brake control (S150: YES).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】運転者の利便性をより向上させることが可能な衝突回避支援技術を提供する。【解決手段】運転支援システムでは、自車両の前方の対象物に車両が衝突する衝突可能性を判定し(S110)、この判定結果に応じて、対象物への衝突を回避するための緊急制動制御を開始する(S140)。また、車両が現在走行中の場所、車両の後方の状況、及び、車両の走行状態のうち、少なくとも一つに関する条件である走行環境条件が成立しているか否かを判定し(S120)、緊急制動制御の開始から自車両が停止するまでの間に、衝突可能性が所定の安全レベルまで低下した場合(S150;YES)、走行環境条件が成立していると(S160;YES)、制動制御を解除する(S170)。【選択図】図3
