PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel control device and method of an electric two-wheel vehicle for performing braking force control, driving force control and cornering control with the grip force of front and rear wheel tires within the stability limit or threshold of a friction circle graph.SOLUTION: An EV controller 48 includes: friction circle diameter setting means 83 for acquiring road information and vehicle travel information to set tires in the current traveling state and a friction circle diameter or a friction circle graph in a road surface state; friction circle graph calculation means 85 for estimating which position of the friction circle graph the gripping force of the tires in the current traveling state is present at; and output adjustment means 86 for outputting a command value to an integrated control device 88 when the estimated gripping force of the tires exceeds the stability limit or threshold of the friction circle graph. In the EV controller 48, the integrated control device 88 performs braking force control, driving force control and cornering control in parallel, and constantly performs traveling control of the gripping force of the front and rear wheel tires within the stability limit or threshold of the friction circle graph.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】前後輪タイヤのグリップ力が摩擦円グラフの安定限界あるいは閾値内で制動力制御、駆動力制御およびコーナリング制御が行なわれる電動二輪車の走行制御装置および方法を提供する。【解決手段】EVコントローラ48は、走行路情報および車両走行情報を取り込んで現走行状態におけるタイヤと路面状態での摩擦円径あるいは摩擦円グラフを設定する摩擦円径設定手段83と、現走行状態におけるタイヤのグリップ力が摩擦円グラフのどの位置に存在するのかを推定する摩擦円グラフ演算手段85と、推定されたタイヤのグリップ力が摩擦円グラフの安定限界あるいは閾値を超えるとき、指令値を総合制御装置88に出力する出力調整手段86とを有し、EVコントローラ48は総合制御装置88が、制動力制御、駆動力制御およびコーナリング制御をパラレルに行なって、前後輪タイヤのグリップ力が摩擦円グラフの安定限界あるいは閾値内で常時走行制御される。【選択図】図5
