PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle and a control method therefor such that while regeneration efficiency in a high speed travel is improved as compared with the conventional art, a fuel consumption is reduced without stopping a steering assist in an auto-cruising mode so as to improve fuel economy.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle comprises a speed reduction mechanism 30 which connects a propeller shaft 25 to a rotary shaft 32 of a motor generator 33 and a driving shaft 46 of a second power steering pump 45 respectively, and a switching device which switches a supply source for a power steering fluid to a steering unit 53 to the second power steering pump 45, and a controller 80 is configured to perform control to predict a slow downhill road L2 where a vehicle speed V is lowered to lower than a lower-limit speed vc when it is assumed that an inertial travel is desired based upon map information and vehicle weight M, and then to select a motor travel on the predicted slow downhill road L2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】従来よりも高速走行時における回生効率を向上しつつ、オートクルーズモードでは、操舵アシストを停止することなく、燃料消費量を低減して燃費を向上するハイブリッド車両及びその制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】プロペラシャフト25をモータージェネレーター33の回転軸32及び第2パワステポンプ45の駆動軸46のそれぞれに接続する減速機構30と、ステアリングユニット53へのパワステフルードの供給源を第2パワステポンプ45に切り換える切換装置とを備え、制御装置80を、惰性走行をさせたと仮定したときに車速Vを下限速度vc未満に下げる緩降坂路L2を地図情報及び車重Mに基づいて予測し、その予測した緩降坂路L2ではモータ走行を選択する制御を行う構成にした。【選択図】図1
