PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the twisting moment around a shear center axis which acts on an arm part at the acceleration/deceleration and a turn of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A knuckle 10 for a high-mount double-wishbone type suspension has a knuckle main body part 10A which rotatably supports wheels 12, and an arm part 10B which extends upward from the knuckle main body part, and an outer end of an upper arm 26 is pivotally connected to an upper end of the arm part via a ball joint 22. The arm part 10B includes a specified portion 16 having a shear center axis 44, an extension line of the shear center axis 44 passes a center 24 of a ball part of the ball joint, and a cross section which is vertical to the shear center axis of the specified portion 16 is formed into an open cross section shape having regions which are apart from each other in a direction vertical to the shear center axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】操舵トルクが微小であるときにナックルのアーム部が弾性変形することを許容しつつ、車両の加減速時及び旋回時にアーム部に作用する剪断中心軸の周りの捩りモーメントを低減する。【解決手段】車輪12を回転可能に支持するナックル本体部10Aと、ナックル本体部から上方へ延在するアーム部10Bとを有し、アーム部の上端にはボールジョイント22を介してアッパアーム26の外端が枢動可能に連結されるハイマウントダブルウィッシュボーン式サスペンション用ナックル10。アーム部10Bは、剪断中心軸44を有する特定の部分16を含み、剪断中心軸44の延長線はボールジョイントのボール部の中心24を通り、特定の部分16の剪断中心軸に垂直な断面は、剪断中心軸に垂直な方向に互いに隔置された部位を有する開断面形状である。【選択図】図1
