PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve traffic signal control that reduces an environmental load.SOLUTION: A traffic signal controller determines a vehicle group on each of inflow paths of an intersection where the traffic controller stands on the basis of arrival traffic flow prediction information. In addition, the controller calculates the number of all of stopped vehicles at the intersection where the traffic controller stands in one cycle if signal control is performed according to each of signal control parameter candidates. Then, the controller selects a signal control parameter candidate that makes the number of all of the stopped vehicles the minimum, and sets the selected parameter as the signal control parameter used in traffic signal control. The number of all of the stopped vehicles is the total of the number of stopped vehicles on the respective inflow paths. The number of stopped vehicles on each of the inflow paths is found out by calculating the number of staying vehicles by applying predetermined weight to the number of arrived vehicles according to the presence or absence of a vehicle group on the basis of the arrival traffic flow prediction information, and by calculating the number of staying vehicles right before a signal that gives the right to passage as the number of stopped vehicles on the inflow path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】環境負荷を低減させる交通信号制御の実現。【解決手段】交通信号制御機は、自交差点の流入路それぞれについて、到着交通流予測情報に基づいて車群を判定する。また、信号制御パラメータ候補それぞれに従った信号制御を行った場合の1サイクルにおける自交差点の全停止台数を算出する。そして、全停止台数が最小となる信号制御パラメータ候補を選択し、交通信号制御に用いる信号制御パラメータとして設定する。全停止台数は、流入路それぞれの停止台数の合計である。流入路それぞれの停止台数は、到着交通流予測情報をもとに、車群の在り/無しに応じた到着車両台数に所定の重み付けを行って滞留台数を算出し、通行権が付与される信号になる直前の滞留台数を、当該流入路の停止台数として算出する。【選択図】図5
