PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant evaporator which can suppress the generation of an odor component accompanied by the dehydration of a dew-condensed water component.SOLUTION: One-end side header tanks 20, 24 are arranged in an upper part with respect to other-end side header tanks 22, 26. Then, the one-end side header tanks 20, 24 being upper-side header tanks form an intermediate portion of refrigerant circulation routes of heat exchange parts 32, 34, and a refrigerant flows to a tube lamination direction DRs in the upper-side tank. Therefore, the refrigerant circulation routes are formed into inverted U-shapes in the upstream-side heat exchange part 32 and the downstream-side heat exchange part 34. Accordingly, in the refrigerant evaporator 10, a low-temperature point can be shifted to an upper side. As a result, a rise of a surface temperature of each refrigerant tube can be suppressed after a stop of an operation of an air conditioner, a dew-condensed water component is hardly dehydrated, and the generation of an odor component accompanied by the dehydration of the water component can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】結露した水分の乾燥に伴う臭い成分の発生を抑えることが可能な冷媒蒸発器を提供する。【解決手段】一端側ヘッダタンク20、24は他端側ヘッダタンク22、26に対して上方に配置されている。そして、上側ヘッダタンクである一端側ヘッダタンク20、24が、各熱交換部32、34の冷媒流通経路の中間部分を形成し、その上側ヘッダタンク内を冷媒がチューブ積層方向DRsへと流れる。そのため、本実施形態の上流側熱交換部32および下流側熱交換部34では、上記冷媒流通経路は逆U字状になっている。従って、本実施形態の冷媒蒸発器10では低温箇所を上側に偏らせることができる。その結果、空調装置の稼働停止後において各冷媒チューブの表面温度の上昇が抑えられ、結露した水分が乾きにくくなり、その水分の乾燥に伴う臭い成分の発生を抑えることが可能である。【選択図】図2
