PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device capable of securing accuracy and prolonging the life of a bearing by suppressing the influence of the plane accuracy of the abutment surface of an opposite side member after fitting on the shape accuracy of an outer member and the influence of the deformation of a flange fitted to a car body on the roundness of the outside rolling surface of the outer member, and a fitting structure thereof.SOLUTION: A plurality of bolt through-holes 14 is formed in the car body-fitted flange 5b of an outer member 5, an abutment surface 16 that abuts on a car body side member around the bolt-through holes 14 is formed to project from the side face 5c of an inner side with a step δ, the inner diameter φE of the abutment surface 16 is set as the opening diameter of the bolt through-hole 14, an outer diameter φF set to be larger by 1.4 to 1.7 times than that of a fixed bolt, and the step δ of the abutment surface 16 is set equal to or more than 0.03 mm. Thus, the influence of the deformation of the car body-fitted flange 5b on the roundness of the outside rolling surface 5a of the outer member 5 can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】取付後の相手側部材の当接面の平面精度が外方部材の形状精度へ影響するのを抑えると共に、車体取付フランジの変形による外方部材の外側転走面の真円度への影響を抑制して精度確保と軸受の長寿命化を図った車輪用軸受装置およびその取付構造を提供する。【解決手段】外方部材5の車体取付フランジ5bに複数のボルト挿通孔14が形成され、このボルト挿通孔14の周辺の車体側部材に当接する当接面16がインナー側の側面5cから段差δを持って突出して形成され、当接面16の内径φEがボルト挿通孔14の開口径とすると共に、外径φFが固定ボルトの外径の1.4〜1.7倍に設定され、当該当接面16の段差δが0.03mm以上に設定されている。これにより、車体取付フランジ5bの変形による外方部材5の外側転走面5aの真円度への影響を抑制することができる。【選択図】図3
