PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water jet propulsion ship that can reduce an influence on a surrounding environment by reducing sufficiently an exhaust gas temperature while reducing signatures during operation of a water jet.SOLUTION: The water jet propulsion ship is equipped with: a flow path forming portion 2 that forms a flow path R1 through which water W can be introduced from an opening portion arranged at a hull bottom; a nozzle 14 that is provided at an end part of the flow path forming portion 2 and formed so that the cross sectional area of the flow path gradually decreases in an extending direction of the flow path forming portion 2; an impeller 3 that pressure-feeds the water W introduced from the opening portion; an internal combustion engine E that drives the impeller 3; an exhaust/flow path forming portion 15 that has a first branched portion 15b which is merged with and connected to the flow path forming portion 2 and a second branched portion 15c having an opening on an outer surface of a hull 100, and guides exhaust gas G exhausted from the internal combustion engine E; and a valve portion 40 which can adjust a flow rate of the exhaust gas G flowing to the first branched portion 15b and the second branched portion 15c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
