PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic operation controller capable of preventing a vehicle from getting too closer or coming into collision due to erroneous determination as if there is no vehicle preceding when a preceding vehicle gets out of a field of view of a front recognition sensor in such a case; the distance from the preceding vehicle is too large, or turning radius of the road is too small, or at a curve where plural roads intersects with each other.SOLUTION: The automatic operation controller controls a vehicle based on a piece of map information and a piece of detection information of a front recognition sensor. When the front recognition sensor loses a preceding vehicle, the automatic operation controller determines whether any preceding vehicle exists on the lane of the own vehicle based on lane candidate of the preceding vehicle obtained from the map information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】先行車との車間距離が開いている場合や、旋回半径が小さい場合、走行経路が一本道でない場合のカーブにおいて、先行車が前方認識センサの視野から外れることで、先行車が存在しないと判断し、接近しすぎたり、衝突したりすることを防ぐことができる自動運転制御装置の提供。【解決手段】地図情報と前方認識センサの検出情報に基づき走行制御する自動運転制御装置において、前方認識センサが先行車をロストした場合、地図情報から求めた先行車の経路候補に基づき、自車経路上に先行車が存在するか否かを判断することを特徴とする。【選択図】 図2
