PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately predicting a road surface state on a place within a predetermined range.SOLUTION: In a road surface state prediction method, when predicting a road surface state of a place within a predetermined range, using a road surface estimation determination value which is calculated using vehicle information being information on behavior of a vehicle Wduring travel acquired by an on-vehicle sensor 11 mounted on the vehicle, or, using an estimation road surface state estimated by using the road surface estimation determination value, the road surface state on a place within the predetermined range is predicted on the basis of a time change of the road surface estimation determination value or a time change of the estimated estimation road surface state, calculated on the place within the predetermined range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
