PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile collision resistant component which prevents the strength of an end part from being deteriorated and prevents collision resistant performance from being deteriorated in an automobile collision resistant component such as bumper reinforcement of which external dimensions of the edge part in the length direction are decreased.SOLUTION: An automobile collision resistant component is made of a metallic hollow shape material which includes collision side flange 6a and vehicle body side flange 7a, and webs 4, 5, 4a, 5a connected with both flanges. An edge part 2 in the length direction of the metallic hollow shape material deforms a cross-section shape thereof due to swaging processing and dimensions between both flanges 6a, 7a are decreased. When a thickness of the web on an edge part 2 is tand a thickness of a web on a center part 3 of which the cross-section shape is not deformed is T, the relation t>Tholds and, when an inner side corner radius of the corner part between the web and the flange on the center part 3 is R, the relation of R≥(t-T) holds.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】長さ方向端部の外形寸法を小さくしたバンパーリインフォース等の自動車用耐衝突部品において、端部の強度低下を防止して、耐衝突性能が低下するのを防止する。【解決手段】自動車用耐衝突部品は、衝突側フランジ6a及び車体側フランジ7aと、両フランジに接続するウエブ4,5,4a,5aを有する金属製中空形材からなる。金属製中空形材の長さ方向の端部2は、スエージング加工により断面形状が変形し、両フランジ6a,7a間の寸法が小さくなっている。端部2におけるウエブの肉厚をtWとし、断面形状を変形させていない中央部3におけるウエブの肉厚をTWとしたとき、tW>TWであり、中央部3におけるウエブとフランジのなすコーナー部の内側コーナー半径をRCIとしたとき、RCI≧(tW−TW)である。【選択図】図4
