PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-vehicle communication device that generates a transmission pulse based on a vehicle speed pulse detected for each vehicle, transmits/receives the transmission pulse as vehicle speed information, can facilitate an exchange of the vehicle speed or acceleration among proximate vehicles economically and simply, and is loadable to a motor-driven bicycle or light vehicle.SOLUTION: In an ordinary vehicle 10, a pulse modulation circuit 51 is configured to modulate a vehicle speed pulse P10 detected by a vehicle sensor 11 to a transmission pulse P1 of a rectangular wave based on a pulse rate P0 corresponding to a size of a preliminarily determined vehicle speed V0, and a light emitting element 52 is configured to transmit the transmission pulse P1 to a light reception element 53 of a large-sized vehicle 20. In the large-sized vehicle 20, the light reception element 53 is configured to receive the transmission pulse P1, and the pulse modulation circuit 51 is configured to modulate the transmission pulse P1 to a reading pulse P1' readable by a control device 25 of the large-sized vehicle 20 and a pulse conversion circuit 26 thereof, and output the reading pulse P1'.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両ごとに検出される車速パルスを元に送信パルスを生成し、この送信パルスを車速情報として送受信して、近接する車両同士で車速や加速度の交換を安価且つ簡易に行うことができ、原動機付自転車や軽車両にも搭載可能な車車間通信装置を提供する。【解決手段】普通車両10では、パルス変調回路51が、車速センサ11が検出した車速パルスP10を予め定めた車速V0の大きさに対応するパルスレートP0に基づいた矩形波の送信パルスP1に変調し、発光素子52が送信パルスP1を大型車両20の受光素子53へ送信すると共に、大型車両20では、受光素子53が送信パルスP1を受信し、パルス変調回路51が、送信パルスP1を大型車両20の制御装置25及びパルス変換回路26で読み込める読込パルスP1’に変調して、出力する構成にした。【選択図】図1
