PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an occurrence frequency of a communication disabled state when the number of other vehicles is reduced without increasing complication of an inter-vehicle communication system and a processing load.SOLUTION: An inter-vehicle communication device comprises: a first communication unit 202 that communicates with a peripheral other vehicle by a first communication system; a second communication unit 204 that communicates by a second communication system with a communication distance wider than that of the first communication system; and a processing unit 208. The processing unit generates identification information of an own vehicle being identification information including a communication identification code for identify the second communication unit, and receives vehicle information held by the peripheral other vehicle being vehicle information including the identification information of the peripheral other vehicle and/or the identification information of one or more vehicles. On the basis of the received identification information and the vehicle information, the vehicle information held by the own vehicle is updated, and the updated vehicle information and/or the generated identification information on the own vehicle are/is transmitted to the peripheral other vehicle by the first communication unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両間通信システムの複雑化や処理負荷の増大なく、他車両の数が低下した場合の通信不能状況の発生頻度を低減する。【解決手段】第1通信方式により周辺他車両と通信を行う第1通信装置202と、第1通信方式よりも広い通信距離の第2通信方式により通信を行う第2通信装置204と、処理装置208とを備える。処理装置は、第2通信装置を識別するための通信識別コードを含む識別情報であって自車両についての前記識別情報を生成し、前記周辺他車両から、当該周辺他車両についての識別情報及び又は一つ又は複数の車両の前記識別情報を含む車両情報であって当該周辺他車両が保有する車両情報を、第1通信装置により受信する。受信した前記識別情報と前記車両情報とにより、自車両が保有する車両情報を更新し、当該更新した車両情報及び又は生成した自車両についての識別情報を、周辺他車両へ第1通信装置により送信する。【選択図】図2
