PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorption member which can secure a large collision energy absorption amount to protect pedestrians and can prevent a radiator panel from being damaged when a light collision occurs.SOLUTION: An impact absorption member 12 is disposed between a bumper face 32 and a radiator panel 26 and comprises an upper surface member 14 having a main surface facing the vertical direction, a first side surface member 16, and a second side surface member 18. The first side surface member 16 is connected to one end of the upper surface member 14 via a first ridge line 20 and has a main surface facing the vehicle width direction. The second side surface member 22 is connected to the other end in the vehicle width direction via a second ridge line 22 and has a main surface facing the vehicle width direction. In addition, a third ridge line 24 curved along the vehicle width direction is formed in the middle part of the upper surface member 14 in the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】歩行者保護のための衝突エネルギー吸収量を大きく確保すると共に、軽衝突時のラジエタパネルの損傷を防止することができる衝撃吸収部材を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の衝撃吸収部材12は、バンパフェイス32とラジエタパネル26との間に配設され、上下方向に面する主面を有する上面部材14と、第1側面部材16と、第2側面部材18とを備えている。第1側面部材16は、上面部材14の一端で第1稜線20を介して接続され、車幅方向に面する主面を有する。第2側面部材22は、車幅方向に於ける他端で第2稜線22を介して接続されて車幅方向に面する主面を有する。また、上面部材14の前後方向の中間部を車幅方向に沿って曲折させて第3稜線24が形成されている。【選択図】図1
