PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge an operation region in which idle-up is performed in order to further improve fuel economy performance, exhaust purification performance or the like.SOLUTION: In the control of a power train having an engine which can perform idle-up control for controlling an idle rotation number to a target idle rotation number which is higher than that at a time of a normal idle operation, and an automatic transmission which can perform neutral control for bringing a gear change mechanism into a neutral state, when an engine rotation number is lowered to a prescribed rotation number related to the target idle rotation number, or when a vehicle speed is lowered to a prescribed vehicle speed V1 which is equivalent to the prescribed rotation number in a state that a vehicle is in deceleration, and it is determined that the idle-up control is necessary, neutral control is performed, and the idle-up control is started.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7

    【課題】燃費性能や排気浄化性能等の更なる向上を図るために、アイドルアップが行われる運転領域の拡大を図る。【解決手段】アイドル回転数を通常のアイドル運転時よりも高い目標アイドル回転数に制御するアイドルアップ制御が可能なエンジンと、変速機構をニュートラル状態とするニュートラル制御が可能な自動変速機とを有するパワートレインの制御において、車両の減速中で、且つ、アイドルアップ制御が必要であると判断されている状態で、エンジン回転数が目標アイドル回転数に関連する所定回転数まで低下したとき、又は、車速が前記所定回転数に相当する所定車速V1まで低下したとき、ニュートラル制御を実行すると共に、アイドルアップ制御を開始する。【選択図】図7
