To provide a power train control device which restrains deterioration of energy efficiency resulting from catalysis diagnosis.SOLUTION: A power train control device of an engine electric hybrid vehicle comprising an engine 1, an oxygen amount sensor 54 on the downstream side of a catalytic converter 52, a fastening element 120 provided between the engine and wheels, and a rotation electrical machinery capable of transmitting torque between the engine and itself, is configured to comprise: a coasting state detection part 101; a fuel injection control part 102 which restarts fuel injection after stopping the fuel injection when the coasting state is detected; a catalysis diagnosis part 103 which performs diagnosis of the catalytic converter on the basis of output variation of the oxygen amount sensor after restarting the fuel injection; and a fastening element control part 210 which is in the coasting state and prohibits transition to the release state of the fastening element until diagnosis of the catalytic converter completes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
