PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device, a booster drive device, a control device, and an electric vehicle which achieve both suppression of increase in surge voltage and enhancement of controllability of an inverter.SOLUTION: A control device includes: a switch opening/closing signal calculator 66 which calculates a switch opening/closing time based on a voltage value between direct current supply lines LINK(H) and LINK(L) and an operation command, and outputs the calculated time as a switch opening/closing signal; a surge occurrence prediction calculation section 682 that determines a switch in which a surge voltage occurs due to an operation of the switch and a direction of a current flowing in the switch; and a surge voltage suppression section 684 which receives information on a semiconductor switch in which the surge voltage occurs from the surge occurrence prediction calculation section 682, determines whether or not a plurality of surge voltages are superposed, and outputs a surge suppression signal to the switch opening/closing signal calculator 66 if it determines that surge voltages are superposed. The switch opening/closing signal calculator 66 corrects the switch opening/closing signal based on the surge suppression signal, and outputs the signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
