PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator atmospheric pressure control device that is able to eliminate discomfort involving stuffed feeling of an ear, causing deglutition, while simplifying the configuration of the control device and a control method therefor.SOLUTION: In a control device for atmospheric pressure in an elevator car, pressure increase control is exerted such that, during a first operating period (first half Ta/2), atmospheric pressure Pi in the car changes stepwise in a positive pressure range where the atmospheric pressure Pi is higher than atmospheric pressure Po outside the car. Additionally, pressure decrease control is exerted such that, during a second operating period (second half Ta/2), the atmospheric pressure Pi in the car changes stepwise in a negative pressure range in which the atmospheric pressure Pi is lower than the atmospheric pressure Po outside the car. Furthermore, a control interval for atmospheric pressure in the car, which is shorter than an operating time required from when an ascending/descending operation initiates to the time when the operation terminates.     【課題】本発明の目的は、制御装置の構成および制御方法を簡潔なものとした上で、乗客に嚥下を誘発させて耳詰まりの不快感を解消させることができるエレベーター気圧制御装置を提供することにある。【解決手段】エレベーターの乗りかご内気圧制御装置において、第1の運転期間(前半のTa/2)では、乗りかごの内部気圧Piが乗りかごの外部気圧Poよりも高い陽圧となる範囲内で階段状に変化するように、加圧制御を実行し、第2の運転期間(後半のTa/2)では、内部気圧Piが外部気圧Poよりも低い陰圧となる範囲内で階段状に変化するように、減圧制御を実行する。さらに、昇降運転の運転開始時刻から運転終了時刻までの運転時間よりも短い乗りかご内気圧制御区間を設定し、乗りかご内気圧制御区間の中で加圧制御と減圧制御とを実行する。【選択図】 図4
