PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolator for a vehicle capable of implementing stable feedback control.SOLUTION: A vibration isolator for a vehicle includes a rigid rod 20 mounted at an engine side at one end and at a car body side at the other end, bushes 12, 13 respectively disposed between the engine side and the rigid rod and between the car body side and the rigid rod, at both ends of the rigid rod, an inertia mass 15 supported by the rigid rod, and an actuator 17 for reciprocating the inertia mass in an axial direction of the rigid rod. The inertia mass and the actuator are accommodated in an actuator chamber 201 formed on a central portion of the rigid rod and having an opening portion 202. Thicknesses t1, t2, t3 of wall surfaces 203, 204, 205 at an opening portion side are thicker than thicknesses t4, t5, t6 of wall surfaces at a bottom surface 206 side opposed to the opening portion of the actuator chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
