PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid electric vehicle power control system capable of accelerating raising the temperature of a battery in a case of a battery warm-up request and suppressing an increase in passenger's discomfort.SOLUTION: A power control system 12 comprises: a battery 28; a converter 46 converting a DC voltage of the battery 28 to a DC voltage of another magnitude by switching by a switching element; a second inverter 44; a second MG 24 that is an electric motor; an engine 20; and an ECU 32 that is a control unit. The ECU 32 sets a carrier frequency for a switching control exerted by the switching element in a case of a warm-up request of the battery 28 lower than a carrier frequency without the warm-up request of the battery 28, and sets a carrier frequency at a time of operating the engine 20 lower than a carrier frequency at a time of stopping operating the engine 20.

    【課題】ハイブリッド車両の動力制御システムにおいて、バッテリの暖機要求がある場合にバッテリの昇温を促進し、かつ、乗員の不快感の増大を抑制することである。【解決手段】動力制御システム12は、バッテリ28、スイッチング素子のスイッチングによりバッテリ28の直流電圧を別の大きさの直流電圧に変換するコンバータ46、第2インバータ44、電動機である第2MG24,エンジン20、及び制御装置であるECU32を含む。ECU32は、バッテリ28の暖機要求がある場合において、スイッチング素子のスイッチング制御におけるキャリア周波数を、バッテリ28の暖機要求がない場合のキャリア周波数に比べて低くし、暖機要求がある場合、エンジン20を運転しているときのキャリア周波数を、エンジン20を運転停止しているときのキャリア周波数に比べて低くする。【選択図】図1
