PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the type of an object to be identified with greater accuracy in an object identification method that is implemented in an identification device for identifying the type of an object.SOLUTION: In an object identification device, point group information about some object is acquired (S140), a plurality of pieces of point information included in the point group information are correlated as a plurality of point groups (S210), and a position and size as a point group are set for the plurality of point groups among all of point groups on the basis of positional relationship in information of each point included in the point groups (S220). Then, the positional relationship between the plurality of point groups which have had their positions set as point groups is calculated (S230), and the type of the object is estimated using the size as a point group and the positional relationship between the point groups and a previously prepared model (S260, S310, S320, S330).

    【課題】物体の種別を識別する識別装置において実施される物体識別方法において、より精度よく物体の種別を識別できるようにする。【解決手段】物体識別装置においては、何らかの物体についての点群情報を取得し(S140)、点群情報に含まれる複数の点情報を複数の点群グループとして対応付け(S210)、点群グループに含まれる各点情報の位置関係に基づいて、点群グループとしての位置およびサイズを、全ての点群グループのうちの複数の点群グループについて設定する(S220)。そして、点群グループとしての位置が設定された複数の点群グループ間の位置関係を演算し(S230)、点群グループとしてのサイズおよび点群グループ間の位置関係と、予め準備されたモデルと、を用いて物体の種別を推定する(S260、S310、S320、S330)。【選択図】図2
