PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle radio communication device that reduces a dark current for a vehicle having a function of unlocking the doors through a communication instrument.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle radio communication device 10 includes a radio communication part 13 which sends and receives radio signals to and from a portable radio key 5, and a control part 11 which determines whether the radio key 5 is within a first communication area outside the vehicle according to the radio signals that the radio communication part 13 sends and receives. The control part 11 makes the radio communication part 13 form only the first communication area during parking of the vehicle until it is determined that the radio key 5 is present within the first communication area.

    【課題】通信機によるドアの解錠を行う機能を備えた車輌にて、暗電流の低減を可能とする車載無線通信装置を提供する。【解決手段】車載無線通信装置10は、可搬型の無線キー5との間で無線信号の送受信を行う無線通信部13と、無線通信部13が送受信した無線信号に応じて、無線キー5が車輌外の第1通信領域内に存在するか否かを判定する制御部11とを備える。車輌の駐車中に、制御部11は無線キー5が第1通信領域内に存在すると判定されるまで、無線通信部13に第1通信領域のみを形成させる。【選択図】図2
