PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress shock and sense of discomfort accompanying engine starting during travelling in an EV mode.SOLUTION: The engine starting control device of a hybrid vehicle is configured to restrict driving force outputted by at least either one of a first motor and a second motor to driving force smaller than the maximum driving force (steps S3 and S4) to start an engine (a step S5) if the required driving force in the hybrid vehicle when required to start the engine while travelling by power of the first motor and the second motor is larger than the maximum travelling driving force that the first motor and the second motor can output while starting the engine.

    【課題】EVモードで走行している際のエンジン始動に伴うショックや違和感を抑制する。【解決手段】エンジンの始動を行いつつ第1モータおよび第2モータによって出力することのできる最大走行駆動力よりも、第1モータおよび第2モータの動力で走行している状態でエンジンの始動要求があった際のハイブリッド車での要求駆動力が大きい場合に、第1モータと第2モータとの少なくともいずれか一方のモータが出力する駆動力を最大駆動力より小さい駆動力に制限(ステップS3,S4)してエンジンの始動(ステップS5)を行うように構成されている。【選択図】図1
