The invention relates to a device (1) for cleaning fuel in a tank (92) of an aircraft (90), and use thereof. The device has a predetermined flow direction (2) for the fuel and comprises units arranged in a fluid-connected manner to forward the fuel from one to another, namely: – an extraction unit (10) for extracting fuel from a tank (92) of an aircraft (90); - a filter unit (30) for filtering the extracted fuel; and - a recirculation unit (70) for returning the filtered fuel to the tank (92) of the aircraft (90), comprising a hose (71) for selective fluid connection of the device (1) to the tank (92) of the aircraft (90), wherein a pump (80) is provided for conveying the fuel at least through the hose (71) of the recirculation unit (70).
