An electric power-assist bicycle (100) and an electric energy management method (S100) therefor are provided. The electric power-assist bicycle (100) includes a crank (110) applied with a pedaling force to provide pedaling powers (PR(1) to PR(m)) to the electric power-assist bicycle (100), a motor, a battery module providing battery powers (PB(1) to PB(n)) to the motor (120), and a computing circuit. The computing circuit (140) obtains total demand powers (PD(1) to PD(a)), total demand current values (ID(1) to ID(b)), and distribution ratios (α(1) to α(c)) between the battery powers (PB(1) to PB(n)) and the pedaling powers (PR(1) to PR(m)), establishes a target function (1) according to the total demand powers (PD(1) to PD(a)), the total demand current values (ID(1) to ID(b)), and the distribution ratios (α(1) to α(c)), and obtains a target total input power (PI_T) according to a current pedaling power (PRC) and the target function (J).
