The invention relates to a device for air distribution in a motor vehicle, comprising two air ducts (1), a discharge chamber (2), an air vent (3), a distribution element (4) and a control mechanism (6) for the distribution element (4). Each air duct (1) has a first inlet end and a second outlet end. The discharge chamber (2) is connected to the air vent (3), and the first air duct (1) and the second air duct (1) are connected to the discharge chamber (2) at their second ends, said air ducts intersecting between their ends. The distribution element (4) has a tubular shape and is arranged at the intersection point of the two air ducts (1), said distribution element being able to be set at least to a first position and a second position. In the first position, the distribution element (4) is approximately aligned with the first air duct (1), the first air duct thus being open and the second air duct (1) thus being closed, and in the second position, the distribution element (4) is approximately aligned with the first air duct (1) such that the second air duct (1) is open.
