An automatic parking method based on multi-parking space detection and a vehicle-mounted control system are provided. The method includes: detecting (101, 201, 301) a reachable region around a vehicle, and detecting one or more usable parking spaces in the reachable region; obtaining (102, 202, 302) a position of each of the one or more usable parking spaces and storing the position of each of the one or more usable parking spaces in a cache, and determining (103, 203, 303) at least one of the one or more usable parking spaces as at least one candidate usable parking space; receiving (104, 206, 304) a selection instruction for the at least one candidate usable parking space to determine a target parking space; and controlling (105, 207, 309) the vehicle to park at the position of the target parking space. With the above method, a user can choose a parking space based on his/her intention, such that the automatic parking processing can be made more intelligent.
