A motor controller (30) includes control systems (31, 32) that control actuation of a motor (20). Each control system (31, 32) includes a drive circuit (311, 321) and a calculation unit (310, 320). The calculation unit (310, 320) of each control system (31, 32) is connected to an independent rotation angle sensor (52, 53). The calculation units (310, 320) include master (310) and slave (320) calculation units. The master and slave calculation units (310, 320) control actuation of the corresponding drive circuit (311, 321) based on a current instruction value calculated by the master calculation unit (310) and a detection result of the rotation angle sensor (52) connected to the master calculation unit (310). When the detection result of the rotation angle sensor (52) connected to the master calculation unit (310) is abnormal, the master and slave calculation units (310, 320) each use a detection result of the rotation angle sensor (53) connected to the slave calculation unit (320) to control the actuation of the corresponding drive circuit (311, 321).
