The invention relates to a method for solving a conflict situation between route elements in an environment comprising a plurality of AGVs (210, 220) to whom one or more route elements are consecutively generated. In the method a route element with a priority is generated (310) for an AGV (210, 220); it is determined (320) if the generated route element conflicts with at least one existing route element; and in response to a determination of the conflict the at least one route element being involved in the conflict, which is provided with a lower priority, is re-generated (330). The invention also relates to a control unit and a system performing at least partly the method.
