The tire comprises, radially from the outside inwards, a tread (2), a crown reinforcement (3) and a carcass reinforcement (4). The crown reinforcement (3) comprises, radially from the outside inwards, a protective reinforcement (5), a working reinforcement (6), and an additional reinforcement (7) centred on the equatorial plane of the tire, comprising at least one additional layer (71, 72) formed of metallic reinforcers making with the circumferential direction an angle of at most 10°, the metallic reinforcers of each additional layer (71, 72) being elastic and having a tensile elastic modulus at most equal to 150 GPa.
