The invention relates to an airbag (100) for a driver's seat of an, in particular multi-track, vehicle having a side panel (10) and a main panel (20), the edges (11, 21) of which are sewn together in such a way that an airbag volume is formed, wherein the side panel (10) - has two wing sections (13), which each form a side wall of the airbag (100), and - a middle section (14), which connects the wing sections (13), and wherein the main panel (20) - has an upper section (25) and a lower section (24), that are sewn to the wing sections (13) and are connected to one another through a front section (23), and - in the lower section (24), at least one flap (26) is provided having an additional fabric strip (30) or a gathered seam (62), and wherein at least one retaining strap (40) extending through the airbag volume is connected on the one hand to the upper section (25) and on the other hand to the flap (26) or the gathered seam (62), in order to form a concavity (45) in the inflated state of the airbag (100) so as to avoid a disruptive contour.
