The invention discloses a self-balancing AGV which comprises an AGV body, a hydraulic self-balancing assembly capable of controlling a floating platform to keep horizontal is installed on the AGV body, a gradienter sensor used for detecting the gradient of the platform is installed on the floating platform, and the hydraulic self-balancing assembly and the gradienter sensor are both connected to a controller of the AGV body. A steering wheel driving assembly is arranged at the bottom of the AGV body, and the steering wheel driving assembly comprises a counterweight unit which always applies downward pressure to steering wheels. The gradienter sensor is arranged on the floating platform to detect the gradient of the platform, and then the hydraulic self-balancing assembly is arranged between the AGV and the floating platform, so that in the driving process of the AGV, the sensor detects the road condition in real time, and according to the gradient of the road condition, the hydraulic self-balancing assembly is intelligently controlled, and the floating platform is automatically leveled; the stability of workpiece transportation during movement of the AGV is ensured; and the steering wheel has spring damping and gravity pressurizing functions so as to be suitable for being used on the uneven ground.
