The invention relates to a brake actuator unit, a strain sensor and an electromechanical brake. A brake actuator unit (12) for an electromechanical brake (10), the brake actuator unit having: a main shaft (44); the brake (10) includes a main shaft (44), a main shaft bearing (96) receiving the main shaft (44), and a cup-shaped brake piston bearing section (74) having a circumferential wall (76) and a base (78) on which the main shaft bearing (96) is axially supported during actuation of the brake (10). The brake actuator unit (12) also has a strain sensor (142) having a sensor element which is arranged on an outer periphery (148) of an axial section (144) of the circumferential wall (76) and is configured to detect a strain of the axial section (144) in the circumferential direction (U). Furthermore, a strain sensor (142) and an electromechanical brake (10) are provided.
