The invention relates to a motor vehicle tire burst early warning system and method.The system comprises a vehicle state information collecting module, a simulation algorithm module, an engine control module and a display module, after the vehicle state information collecting module collects vehicle information, corresponding calculation is conducted through the simulation algorithm module, and the calculated real-time temperature of the axle wheel end is obtained; and the temperature is compared with temperature threshold values of different vehicle speed intervals to judge whether an early warning signal is sent out or not. According to the early warning method, vehicle early warning and deceleration control are achieved based on the early warning system. The driver is reminded to change the driving behavior from the early warning angle, and the occurrence probability of tire burst accidents can be reduced.
