The invention discloses an elevator fault diagnosis method and system based on graph convolution. The elevator fault diagnosis method comprises the steps that a vibration signal generated when an elevator runs is converted into a horizontal visible graph; inputting the horizontal views into a graph convolutional network to obtain spatial features of the vibration signals; inputting the spatial feature into a gating circulation unit to obtain a time sequence feature of the vibration signal; according to the method, the spatial features and the time sequence features are fused, elevator faults are diagnosed, the fault features of the elevator in the running state are comprehensively captured through an algorithm combining a graph convolutional network and a gating circulation unit, calculation redundancy is reduced, and diagnosis accuracy and real-time performance are improved.
