The method comprises the steps that the working condition of an engine is determined based on operation parameters of the engine of the hybrid vehicle; under the condition that the working condition of the engine is any one of multiple preset working conditions, a preset step value is accumulated on the initial ignition value corresponding to the preset working condition till the difference value between the ignition angle obtained through accumulation and the target ignition angle is not larger than a preset threshold value; under the condition that the difference value between the ignition angle obtained through current accumulation and the target ignition angle is larger than a preset threshold value, the engine is controlled to ignite based on the ignition angle obtained through current accumulation; and under the condition that the difference value between the ignition angle obtained through current accumulation and the target ignition angle is not larger than a preset threshold value, the engine is controlled to ignite based on the target ignition angle. According to the technical scheme, the driving comfort and smoothness can be improved.
